Nexus Mods - Collection Sorter
Created by DeffONotKevO

A Tampermonkey userscript that lets you sort every collection on Nexus Mods by mod count, downloads, endorsements, date created or last updated. Nexus Mods doesn't offer some of these sort options, and its own sorting only works one page at a time.

What it does
The script adds a "Sort by mod count" button to the bottom-right corner of the Nexus Mods collections pages. Clicking it opens a panel that loads all matching collections, sorts them, and shows them in one table. It works on both: The main collections page for all games: nexusmods.com/collections AND any game's collections page, e.g. nexusmods.com/games/skyrimspecialedition/collections.
Each row shows the collection's thumbnail, name, author, game, mod count, date created, date last updated, downloads and endorsements. Click a collection's name or thumbnail to open its page.

Features
Sort by: mod count, date created, last updated, downloads or endorsements.
Flip the direction with one click (e.g. Most mods first / Fewest mods first).
Pick a game: it uses the current game automatically on a game's page. Type a game's short name from its Nexus URL (e.g. stardewvalley) to switch games, or leave the box blank to load every game.
Search by collection name, author or game.
Set a minimum and maximum mod count, e.g. only collections with 100-300 mods.
Hide adult collections (optional; off by default).
Results are split into pages of 100.
Loaded results are remembered for 30 minutes per browser tab, so reopening the panel is instant.

Installation
Install the Tampermonkey browser extension (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Opera or Safari).
Open the Tampermonkey dashboard and click the + tab to create a new script.
Delete the template code, paste in the full contents of nexusmods-collections-sort-by-mod-count.user.js, and press Ctrl+S to save.
Go to nexusmods.com/collections and click "Sort by mod count" in the bottom-right corner.

Usage tips
The first load for all games takes about 20 seconds because it fetches every collection (16,000+). A single game's list loads much faster.
Press Esc, click X, or click outside the panel to close it.
Hover over a date to see the exact timestamp.
"Last updated" is the date the collection's latest version was published.

How it works
The script reads collection data from the same public Nexus Mods API that the website itself uses. It fetches the collections in batches and sorts them in your browser. It doesn't need an API key, doesn't change anything on your account, and doesn't send data anywhere else.
