Some questions:

What is the difference between all these versions of Utags?:

1 -UTags - Ajouter des tags utilisateur aux liens [I use this one]

2 - UTags - Ajouter des tags utilisateur aux liens (full version)

This one (as you mark it) is the Preview of Utags:

UTags - Ajouter des tags utilisateur aux liens - staging

It is possible to test the 2 without broke the 1 ?

Can we import our Utags between these versions ?

Yesterday I had to split UTags into two versions because it got flagged as "Adult content" by the site admin.

https://greasyfork.org/zh-CN/discussions/greasyfork/321999-appeal-regarding-the-adult-classification-of-the-utags-userscript

As you know, UTags needs specific adaptations for different sites, including some adult ones. So I've removed all those rules from the original script (the one you're using) and released a new "Full Version" that includes everything.

Regarding that Staging version—it was only meant for testing. Even though I put a "⚠️ NOTE: This is the preview version. Please install on 👉" warning in the description, a lot of people still installed it, and now I can't even delete it. It's a bit of a headache!

Don't worry about your data, though. You can easily export and import it between any of these versions.

I recommend use the original version.

Thank for the clarification!

Haaa mr Jason Barnabe seems inflexible.
Here your request to It - in ENG:
Appeal regarding the "Adult" classification of the "UTags" userscript

In my sens you are right and your arguments seems totally reasonable.

But Jason is the Boss here and it would be difficult to reproach to him how Greasyfork is managed (on a so long period!).

So, now you have 2 scripts with the same purpose and very similar....

;-)

Maybe it should possible to delete the "Adulte" version and switch their old users to the "Safe" version at the next update:
I remember to have seen this possibility a long time ago.

Anyway, that's a great and useful script (I use it a lot for Flickr, as you know).

Here the delete function in greasyfork, with the possibility to redirect to an other script.

I have not tested if this work fine but the possibility exist ;-)

Thanks a lot—that’s really helpful to know.

I think I should have to upload a new "safe" version of the script and start building up a user base from scratch. At the same time, I'll keep the original version as it is, since the existing link and its history are still valuable to me.

I'll try to redirect the preview version to new "safe" version for test the delete function.

I Hope that's efficient :-)

PS: but i think you risk to lost your old install counter....
Which, At this time is :

That’s definitely a shame about the counter.

But as long as existing users can still update via the old link, they’ll be fine. I'm hesitant to use a redirect because I'm worried it might impact the utags data storage. Ensuring a seamless experience is more important to me than the install count.

Yes...
Once you tested this solution, report here if it worked without problem.
