Elevate your Danbooru browsing experience with instant, high-quality inline post previews! This script allows you to view images, videos, and animated posts directly over the search grid without ever having to open a new tab or lose your place on the page.

  • Instant Inline Previews: View full posts in a sleek, blurred-background overlay modal.
  • Two Quick Triggers: Open previews by simply Alt + Clicking any post link, or by clicking the convenient 👁 (Eye) button that appears when you hover over a thumbnail.
  • Smooth Animations: Features a satisfying "flying thumbnail" transition from the grid directly into the modal center.
  • Full Media Support: Seamlessly plays WebM, MP4, and Ugoira (animated zip) files. Videos auto-play, loop, and remember your volume and mute preferences across sessions.
  • Bottom Thumbnail Rail: Browse smoothly using the built-in thumbnail strip at the bottom of the modal. Click any thumbnail to jump straight to it.
  • Quick Navigation: Use the on-screen arrows or your keyboard's Left and Right arrow keys to cycle through all posts currently loaded on the page.

  • Prog (Progressive): Loads the large sample first for immediate viewing, then silently swaps to the original quality once downloaded.

  • Infinite Scroll Compatible: Fully supports dynamically loaded posts (AJAX/Infinite Scroll)—newly loaded thumbnails will automatically get the preview button and be added to the navigation rail.

🖱️ How to Use

  1. Open a Preview: Hover over any thumbnail and click the 👁 (Eye) icon in the corner, OR hold Alt and click the thumbnail.
  2. Navigate: Use the left/right on-screen buttons, click a different thumbnail in the bottom rail, or use your keyboard's arrow keys.
  3. Close: Click anywhere in the dark background, click the X button, or press the Esc key.

⌨️ Keyboard Shortcuts

  • Alt + Click: Open Preview
  • Left Arrow: Previous Post
  • Right Arrow: Next Post
  • Esc: Close Preview

⚙️ Customization (Tampermonkey Menu)

Don't like the position of the 👁 preview button? You can easily change it!

  1. Click on the Tampermonkey/Violentmonkey extension icon in your browser toolbar while on Danbooru.
  2. Look under "User Script Commands".
  3. Select your preferred position: Top Right, Top Left, Bottom Right, or Bottom Left. Your preference will be saved automatically.
