Animates thumbnails, inlines video loading, and cleans up sponsored content
Thanks for your feedback. I can look into that.
On the video page's sidebar, the thumbnails now remain static until you hover over them with your cursor, which is a welcome change! But when you move your cursor away from the thumbnail, it stays animated. And when you hover over each subsequent thumbnail down the sidebar, they each activate and stay activated. I have to make sure not to touch any of the sidebar's thumbnails at all because if I do, they'll be stuck in an infinite loop.
Not sure if this was intended, but I thought it was worth noting.
Also, the thumbnails in the related videos section underneath the video player stay animated without any user interaction like before, but that's easier to ignore than the sidebar.
Overall, this update is an improvement. I vastly prefer how Pornhub does their thumbnails, but this comes very close. If you decide to extend this update to work for the rest of the site and not just the video page's sidebar, I'd be more than content with that. I can learn to deal with the two or three thumbnails I interact with being stuck in an animated loop if that means the rest remain static.
Animated Thumbnail Suggestion
The animated thumbnails look nice and function well, but all of them trying to load on the same page at the same time really slows my dinosaur of a pc down to a crawl. Also, having them load on the video page is a bit distracting. Because of this, I decided to delete the animated thumbnail section of the code.
Would it be possible to make it so that - like Pornhub - individual thumbnails become animated only on mouse-over while the rest remain static? You would have to remove the description of the video that rolls down on top of the thumbnail so it's not in the way, but I doubt many people would mind.
This is a perfect script otherwise. Thanks for the good work!
