The script doesn't work properly if you are searching with advanced options. Another select element is added when using advanced search. Bug happens on line 33, it chooses the wrong element.
I entirely forgot about the advanced option dialogue box. I updated the line 33 selector to jQuery that specifically targets the correct dropdown element.
