OK I use a userscripts extensions on safari for iphone, and it shows up as active on the redgifs page, but the download button never pops up for me. Has anyone got this working on mobile safari?

Good How do I trigger the script on a vertical screen? e.g. mobiles. There is no scrollbar by default.
