Picking up FatKitty’s suggestion about sharing this on Reddit: the repository-disappearing scenario is a much clearer introduction than a long feature list.

I’d make a small demonstration using a public test repository: export one issue with replies and one discussion, then show what remains readable offline. Spell out what is included and what still depends on GitHub. The question about linked images is especially important: a backup claim should distinguish saved text from externally hosted assets.

Then share that example in a relevant developer community that permits self-promotion and ask what people would need for their own backup workflow. I haven’t tested the exporter, so this is a suggestion about explaining its value, not a review of its reliability.

Disclosure: I’m Andre from CYCLE. Our guide to demand generation before paid acquisition discusses the same problem → proof → relevant community sequence. It is written for startups, rather than userscripts, but that sequence may be useful here.
