FetLife Grid Feed (by Rysta)

Transform your FetLife Home Feed into a modern, responsive masonry grid (Pinterest-style).

This script visually overhauls the /home feed to make better use of desktop screens, improving readability and browsing efficiency without touching any other part of the site.

Key Features

  • Masonry Grid Layout: Automatically organises status updates, picture posts, videos, albums and polls into a clean, multi-column grid. It adapts to your screen size:
    • 2 Columns: Default for standard screens.
    • 3 Columns: Activates on screens wider than 1200px (e.g., MacBook Pro).
    • 4 Columns: Activates on screens wider than 2400px (e.g., 4K monitors).
  • Full Interactivity: Love, Superlove (long-press), Comment, Forward and Save all work exactly as normal within the grid. Posts are moved (not cloned), preserving all of FetLife's native Vue.js bindings.
  • No Content Duplication: Unlike CSS column-based approaches, posts are placed once into the shortest column and stay put. Infinite scroll loads new content without reshuffling or repeating what you've already seen.
  • Full-Width Layout: Both sidebars (left navigation and right ads) are hidden, giving the grid the entire viewport. No wasted screen space.
  • Massive Avatars: Increases user profile pictures to 72px circles, making it easier to identify friends at a glance.
  • Smart Theme Detection: Automatically detects if you are using Light or Dark mode and adjusts the card styling (backgrounds, borders, shadows) to match perfectly.
  • Zero-Risk Safety: This is a visual-only skin. It makes zero network requests to FetLife servers and contains no automation or scraping logic.
  • Strict Scoping: Includes a URL Watcher that strictly limits the layout changes to fetlife.com/home. If you navigate to a profile, group, or discussion, the layout instantly reverts to the default view.

How to Use

  1. Install the script.
  2. Navigate to https://fetlife.com/home.
  3. The layout will apply automatically.
