Seems like a useful feature to me. I added it in v1.5.0. Let me know if this help at all, I've never actually had an issue with images getting stuck loading half way so I wasn't able to test it.

Sometimes the images get stuck displaying halfway without changing to the refresh icon, so a new feature would be nice.
