For any other privacy-focused users who are troubleshooting the script now it's non-4X required, if you're running uMatrix (like you should) make sure that media from sites the script works with, is allowed (catbox.moe for example). Cookies aren't required for it to work, so keep them or drop them as you wish.
Even with about:config set to general privacy settings for Firefox based clients (Firefox, Waterfox, Icecat, Palemoon, Tor etc) it should work fine for you. Can't attest for >Google forks (Ungoogled Chromium, Iridium) or others (Otter, Falkon, Qute etc) but otherwise it should work. (Also as an FAQ for Firefox-based privacy settings in general, for anybody reading, network.http.sendRefererHeader being set to anything but 2/Default is the reason why Pixiv and various other imagehosting sites won't show images for you. Don't worry, it only really protects against malicious popups, so provided you aren't going out of your way to destroy your privacy by going on obvious scam sites, it should be mostly safe to set to Default, even if it's just for the duration of using the site that's otherwise broken)
