Sleazy Fork

This is probably the third time I've come to the site, been logged out despite checking the "remember me" box, tried logging in, been told my password is incorrect, and had to reset. Every time, I use the same password I previously used. It resets my password and I can log in. Next time I visit, I am logged out and my password doesn't work again. Rinse and repeat. What is happening?

happened again. i literally copy/paste the password from my passwords file when logging in and when resetting it. it seems to reset every day

i manually logged out to see if it would do it again and it does. i had to reset it again. same password. it's like it deletes my password upon being logged out

yes there are a few

"Remember me" means that you will stay logged in for 2 weeks after your last activity on the site, even if you close your browser and session cookies are wiped, though not if your persistent cookies are wiped.

I'm not sure what's causing the password behaviour. Perhaps as @Konf says there is some special character tripping it up. And by "special character" I don't mean like !@#$% characters. More like weird whitespace or Unicode characters.

did it again. it's not every two weeks, but automatically every 24 hours or whenever i log out manually. i don't have any bizarre characters in my pw, just your standard special characters that are valid with any password. i also use 1.1.1.1 w/ WARP. now that i think of it, that's about when it started happening, though i am not sure how that would result in me having to reset my pw every 24 hours. i don't want to disable it even for testing, so i will just have to deal with this inconvenience if there is no other solution

I don't know what 1.1.1.1 and WARP are doing, so maybe they're the problem, maybe not. One more detail of Greasy Fork's behaviour: if you sign out on one device, all sessions on all devices will be signed out. Are you using multiple devices and explicitly signing out?

I was suggesting that maybe it's something on the Greasyfork side that is perhaps responding adversely to the WARP VPN service provided by Cloudflare. It's a problem that didn't previously exist that just started out of the blue. It happens every 24 hours. When I close the Greasyfork window or tab without explicitly logging out and then immediately reopen a new one and browse to Greasyfork, it honors my cookie and keeps me logged in. I have never once actually logged out. I am only using Windows 11 w/ Brave. No other browsers or devices.

Here are the steps I have to take every time I come to the site after roughly 24 hours (which, of course, just happened again as expected):

* Attempt to log in w/ email/password
* Enter 2FA code
* >Invalid Email or password
* Request password reset, receive email with link, click
* When asked for new password, re-enter the exact same password I used previously
* Login successful

Is anyone able to look at the database transactions or server logs to investigate why this is happening?

You should only be prompted to enter the 2FA code if your email and password are correct. Are you sure the message you're getting after entering the 2FA code says the email or password is incorrect, or is it saying the 2FA code is incorrect?
