Torn Networth Scouter

A lightweight, highly optimized Tampermonkey script that seamlessly overlays player net worth directly onto profile links and Honor Bars across Torn. Designed with strict adherence to API rate limits and full compatibility with Torn PDA.

  • Non-Intrusive UI: Injects net worth seamlessly next to standard text links and nicely overlays it on the right side of Honor Bars.
  • Smart Color Grading: Instantly gauge a player's wealth with high-visibility color scaling:
    • Vivid Red: Under 100M
    • Soft Red: 100M - 500M
    • Bright Yellow: 500M - 1B
    • Electric Lime: 1B - 2B
    • Fluorescent Green: 2B - 4B
    • Bright Lime: 4B+
  • Clean Formatting: Automatically rounds and formats numbers for quick reading (e.g., $1.5B, $840M, $45K).
  • Mini-Profile Fix: Specifically filters out duplicate action links (like "View profile" and "New tab") in Torn's mini-profile popups to prevent UI spam.
  • Mobile Ready: Fully tested and compatible with the Torn PDA mobile app.

⚙️ Performance & API Safety

Torn strictly limits API calls to 100 per minute. This script is engineered to protect your key:

  • 24-Hour Caching: Fetched net worth values are stored locally in your browser for 24 hours. If you see a player again within that window, the script loads the number instantly from memory—using zero API calls.
  • Throttled Queue System: When encountering multiple new players (e.g., on a large faction page), the script places them in a queue and fetches their data with a safe 700ms delay between each call.
  • Visual Loading States: While waiting in the queue, badges display as a neutral [...] so you know the script is working in the background.

🚀 Installation & Setup

  1. Install this script via your preferred user script manager (Tampermonkey, Greasemonkey, or Torn PDA).
  2. Refresh any Torn page.
  3. A prompt will appear asking for your Torn API key. (Note: The key requires 'Public' access to read personal stats).
  4. Enter your key, and the scouter will begin working immediately. Your key is stored securely in your browser's local Tampermonkey storage.
