Description

Tired of clicking the tiny "next" and "previous" links on mobile? This script streamlines your browsing experience on Rule34 by adding intuitive mobile-friendly controls. It intelligently detects whether you are viewing an image or a video and provides the best navigation method for each.

Features

For Images:

  • Intuitive Swipe Navigation: Simply swipe left to go to the next post or swipe right for the previous one.
  • Mouse Drag Support: The same functionality works perfectly on desktop. Just click and drag the image left or right.
  • Quick Fullscreen View: Double-click any image to instantly open its full-resolution version in a new tab.

For Videos:

  • Persistent Overlay Buttons: Swiping can interfere with video player controls (seeking, volume, etc.). To solve this, the script displays persistent '←' and '→' buttons on the sides of the screen for easy navigation.
  • Unobtrusive Design: The buttons are semi-transparent and positioned to not block the main video content.

General:

  • Cleaner Interface: The script automatically hides the default bottom navigation bar, giving you more screen space for a more immersive experience.

How to Use

On Image Posts:

  • To go to the next post: Swipe the image from right to left.
  • To go to the previous post: Swipe the image from left to right.
  • To view the image in full size: Simply double-click on it.

On Video Posts:

  • To go to the next post: Click the '→' button on the right side of the screen.
  • To go to the previous post: Click the '←' button on the left side of the screen.

Notes

  • This script is designed primarily for a better mobile experience but is fully functional on desktop browsers as well.
  • The script only activates on post view pages (URLs containing index.php?page=post&s=view).
