Review: Good - script works

Multiple New Problems

This script has always been very effective at stopping the very annoying pop ups or redirects that occur when you click on an adult video to view.

But unfortunately those pop ups and redirects have begun again, They are now being caused by an Ad Network called ebocornac.com

In the past it was the trafficjunky.net which caused a lot of the ads and pop ups or redirects.

But it seems once again they have changed their tactics to circumvent ad blocking add ons and scripts such as this.

A second issue is that the pornhub.com search bar often doesn't work while this script is activated.

I would also be nice if this could also hide the pornhub.com network bar which is displayed at the top of the screen and please try to stop those annoying "Disable Adblock Plus" messages.

This script is in need of urgent updating as soon as possible

I don't have any of the mentioned problems.

No pop-ups or the like, and I see nothing about ebocornac.com, only DoublePimp & TrafficJunky. PornHub search works perfectly. Never seen any AdBlock message in PornHub, only on YouPorn and that has been addressed.

And I don't see any problem with the PornHub bar.

This script is in need of urgent updating as soon as possible

That was a bit too dramatic

RE: Multiple New Problems,

Hi Jack Mustang,

I have failed to inform you that I'm only getting the problems with the search bar and experiencing redirects or pop ups when using the gay section of this website http://www.pornhub.com/gay/video?o=cm

It's most queer indeed that the search function does indeed work normally in the heterosexual section of this site,

In the gay section you cant perform a search by entering your search term and clocking the search icon. If you enter your search term and click enter you get erroneous completely unrelated search results or heterosexual search results.

Please note that this search function works 100% accurately when your script is disabled.

You still get redirected to a variety of adult live cam sites. It's simply that they now seem to be using this ad network in addition to or as an alternative to the notorious doublepimp or traffickjunky ad networks which are most commonly used by adult content sites

However in the past these redirects or pop ups used to occur on the first video clicked on to play, Now it can take viewing 6 or more before they decide to redirect you or throw up a pop up.

Unfortunately I can't remember how I managed to detect the involvement of ebocormac.com But I did notice their involvement with this type of thing on tube8.com

I do apologize that I confused the appearance of ebocornac.com and Anti Adblock messages on tube8.com, youporn.com and pornhub.com.

I do realize that you have limited resources and time and you can't possibly create scripts for all the adult sites.

But I have noticed that the sites pornhub.com, redtube.com, gaytube.com, tube8.com, xtube.com, pornmd.com, youporn.com and extremetube.com are all part of the same network and seem to deploy the same techniques to produce these type of annoyances.

So is there any possible way your scripts could be created to apply to all the sites in this network or be more broadly applied to adult sites in general?.

Ok, I tested here and search only brought me gay results. The top bar worked perfectly and no pop-ups even after clicking on a lot of videos.

Is there any other userscript running on pornhub? Can you confirm the top bar and the pop-up killer also don't work on the straight area?

So is there any possible way your scripts could be created to apply to all the sites in this network or be more broadly applied to adult sites in general?.

The pop-up killing is already the same for EYP, EPH and ERT, so creating a script to block them on all sites on the network is totally possible. For other sites it may not work.

Features like auto-scroll, wide player and ad areas remover can't be used on all sites since each one has its own implementation of them.

RE: Multiple New Problems,

Hi Jack Mustang,

I have your suggestion and checked to see if any other script or add on was conflicting with your extendpornhub and after spending a very long time disabling all Firefox add ons and user scripts, I finally found that it is Reek's Anti Adblock Killer script which messed up the search bar.

I will now report this to him and while waiting for him to update his script I will simply put in an site exception rule for pornhub.com

I have noticed that you use the Chrome Browser icon for your posts, Did you check for redirects and pop ups using Firefox?, this of course may be why you are not seeing them or perhaps you have some other add on or script which stops them.

Any suggestions in stopping these adult content sites pop ups or redirects would be greatly appreciated.

Some of these such as the Live Jasmin or MacKeeper redirects were very hard to defeat because of the changing tactics used, But fortunately Adblock Plus is now quite aware of this nuisance seems to be keeping on top of them.

These sites do indeed seem to deploy similar tactics, But unfortunately they do evolve over time to counter our measures against them.

I'm still getting pop ups and redirects on pornhub.com,but usually only once per visit, as mentioned previously they used to occur on the first video clicked upon and now they occur at random timings and so harder to spot.

They usually redirect you to various adult live cam sites, Sorry can't remember the names of the sites as I instinctively close them as fast as I possible can.

Hopefully they will not occur with an exception to Reek's Anti Adblock Killer preventing it from causing site issues.

I do apologize for blaming your script which has always worked very well and been effective in stopping these nuisances, I also use your extendredtube and extendyouporn scripts which also work well.

Thanks for also considering my suggestion to try create a script for all sites in this network.

I have tested in this Chromium based browser and in Presto Opera. I'll have to re-install Firefox and then I'll tell you if I got any ad.

Hi Jack Mustang,

Thanks very much for continuing to investigate this, as mentioned previously it is in my opinion Reek's Anti Adblock Killer script that is responsible for the search bar problems and highly likely that it was also conflicting with your script and because of this allowing those pop ups and redirects to once again occur.

I eventually had to remove Reek's Anti Adblock Killer script as I simply couldn't get the exception rule to apply to the gay section of pornhub.com Remember as I informed you the search bar problem and redirects or pop ups only occured in that site section for some strange reason.

Reek has now been notified of the issues with his script and If you can also verify these issues or conflicts with your script, I do hope you also contact him with further details.

RE: Multiple New Problems

Hi Jack Mustang,

This is just a quick note to inform you that Reek's Anti Adblock Killer was quickly updated by Reek when I informed him of the pornhub.com problems.

I pleased to report that the search bar in the gay section of that site now works 100% correctly and I do hope that his script is now no longer conflicting with yours as the pop ups and redirects I reported didn't seem to occur when his script was removed.

Hopefully all is now well.
